OUR Global Pandemic

These past months since the beginning of COVID19 have been so scary.  As a teen and part of an age group statistic, I have watched the world become enveloped in sickness and fear.  But I have also seen people pull together and help each other. It is a true study of compassion, empathy and grit.  Compassion from those on the front lines, whether it is grocery workers or health care providers. Empathy from every individual who wears a mask to protect each other and the vulnerable.  Grit from those who risk their lives to make other lives better.  For the past 4 summers, I have had the privilege to work at Atlantic Veterinary Care, assisting in clinic procedures, surgeries and lab diagnostics. During quarantine,  I have made it my mission to help families feel safe when they bring their sick pets into surgery or simply need to be checked. Grit is almost like an hippocratic oath.  An oath to do the right thing.  During this time, let's all show Grit and make it our oath to help others.
