A Weird Winter

I live in the state of Maine, which is the most Northern state in New England. This means that we are commonly known for having very cold winters and a lot of snow. However, this year was not the typical winter. Yes, it was cold but not as cold as it usually gets. By some of my friends and I's observations it was a lot warmer this year than last years winter. On January 12th most of the snow had melted where I live and four days later on the 16th we had a snow storm and my school was canceled for that day. These types of patterns occurred for most of this years winter and I found this kind of weather very confusing. The only thing I could think about when these weird weather patterns occurred was climate change. Maine is becoming more affected by climate change and it is becoming more noticeable everyday.
